How do you release spare tire on 2005 Kia Sedona minivan?

I think it is the same as my 2005 and it releases by removing a little 1/4 turn cap just inside the rear hatch area and on the floor..You then use the lug wrench to turn the bolt inside the small well under the cap in a counterclockwise direction and the spare will drop down so you can unhook a catch underneath the bumper and lower the rack to the ground and pull the spare out--To reinstall you reverse the process...If you turn the bolt too far it will separate from the sleeve into which it is attached and the spare will quickly drop to the ground--If this happens be sure to reinsert the bolt into the sleeve before attempting to reinstall the spare..

on the left side of the rear of the van is a pannel that pops off. pull it off and remove the tool pack and jack. in the center of the plastic right at the rear is a small plug that looks like a sloted screw top. unscrew it and there is a bolt head beneath it. use the tire iron to turn it counter clock-wise until the tire beneath drops. be careful as the part beneath fell off of mine and I'm playing hell figuring out where to get another one.

open back hatch of your Kia Sedona and you will see a panel that goes from left to right and in the panel is a circle with a line in it and you have to use a quarter or screw driver and unscrew the cap and you will need a tool to unscrew the tire from under the vehicle!!
