To remove the dash to get to the radio from a 2005 Kia Optima, begin by prying around the edge of the trim around the gear shifter. Then, remove the screws from the bottom of the dash and pry the trim away from the radio area. This will expose the radio bezel.
It is not necessary to remove the dash. Only necessary to remove enough of the trim pieces to get the radio out. If you look carefully you will see what needs to be removed.

Remove the neg battery cable tehn the aC ducts under the dash. Then take the wires and bolts holding the radio from under the dash. Then remove the knobs and the nuts under them. Work the radio out from under the dash. First remove the bezel from the dash, (around the radio). Use 4 heavy pieces of wire and insert one into each of the holes in the corners of faceplate of the radio. Push them in approx. 2 inches then pull the radio out the front and disconnect the wires and antenna.
You have to remove the vent & bezel assembly from below the radio first, then the entire dash bezel from around the instrument cluster & radio.

To remove the radio on a Celeb you need to remove the complete dash assembly which will reveal the three bolts that secure the radio. You then pull out the antenna lead from the jack on the rear of the radio and disconnect the multiwire connector.
You have to remove the center dash panel to get access to the bolts, screws.
