Remove the screws and wiring and remove the old mirror. Replace the wiring and screws as you add the new mirror to the car. Then place the cover and the door panel back on the vehicle.
You need to remove the dash panel. It will allow you to get access to many connectors and it will be easier to remove the harness.
You need to remove the rear seat and the panel covering the speaker. Before removing the panel make sure that you have removed all screws. Pay attention to the clips holding the panel as well.

The 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse OBD 2 port is on lower right edge of dash; next to kick panel
You have to remove the upper panel, third row seat, peal back the cargo area carpet and unscrew and pop it off. It take about an hour to two to remove and get to the speaker.
It is on the passenger side beneath the rocker panel.
