Once you have the driveshaft off and the crossmember out the engine-tranmission assembly will pivot enough in the motor mounts to let you get at them.
The 1996 Chevy S 10 pickup truck bell housing is held in place with eight retaining bolts. Remove the retaining bolts and the bell housing will separate from the transmission.
Remove the water hose from the top of your 1996 Chevrolet 2500 thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. Lift the old thermostat out and drop in the new thermostat.
Remove the bolts from each corner.

Its located under the throttle body or follow the upper radiator hose til it hits a semi round housing. There is 2 bolts to remove it. First you have to drain the radiator fluid of course. I am changing the thermostat right now on my 2001 Chevy lumina and I see I will have to also remove the throttle body to get to the thermostat housing
Remove the wiring harness from the 1996 Chevy Cavalier blower motor. Remove the blower motor retaining bolts. Remove the blower motor fan. Reverse the process to install the new blower motor.
Begin by removing the wiring harness from your 1996 Chevy Corvette horn. Remove the horn retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new horn.
Drain the oil from your 1996 Chevy Lumina oil pan. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts. The oil pan will come off.
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1996 Chevy Corsica blower motor. Remove the blower motor retaining bolts. Remove the fan from the front of the blower motor. Reverse the process to install the new blower motor.
