Flip the arms up, and release the catch at the base of the arm and pull up.

You will have to remove the wiper arms, then remove the cowl, and then the wiper motor.

wiper motor arm has a small c-clip to remove and then same arm other end has a ball type that you pry off with a small cats paw type bar or screwdriver. this will remove the short wiper motor arm and then you can remove both wiper arms out thru slots in windshield frame. Be sure to remove plastic nuts on both wipers on front side of windshield frame.
They are located under the air inlet grill directly in front of the windshield. You have to remove the wiper arms and antenna to remove the grill.

You need to remove the cowl... the piece between the windshield and the hood. There are four screws in plain sight and two hidden by the weather strip. Of course, you must remove the wiper arms prior to removing the cowl. To remove the wiper arms, look for a little tab on the bottom of the arm. Use a screw driver to move the tab outward. You shoudl then be able to remove the wiper arms. To remove the wipe motor you must remove the entire wiper module. There are three bolts that need to be removed.
Take off the bolts at the bottom of the wiper arms and you may have to wiggle the arms back and forth to work the wiper arms off.
It is located under the windshield cowl (the plastic cover with the holes in it, directly under the windshield). To expose it - remove the wiper arms, and the retaining nuts on the wiper shafts, then remove the screws holding down the cover.

remove the cowl & wiper arms (mark location of arms on the windshield). disconnect the battery, Disconnect wire connector at wiper motor & remove the 4 mounting bolts then remove the linkage from motor.
Your wiper arms that run from the wiper motor to the windshield wipers may be binding and need to be replaced
