How do you repair a ace liner 502 stapler. The top is jammed and metal side tabs won't move to release top of stapler. Whole top is jammed up somehow and stapler won't work. How best to unjam this?

i tapped mine lightly with a hammer and the top portion popped out and was able to open it up.
