let the engine running, lift off the ignition coil one by one after opening the screw...a tick sounds will be heard ... no tick sound and gasoline leak on the plug thread means the ignition coil is busted.

I have a 2002 Envoy and I have the same problem. I have to insert a pen or pencil in the hole right up under the ignition switch and push a wire to get my keys out. It gets old but what caused this I have no idea. I think it is something in the shift linkage.

Your ignition switch has failed. There is a good chance that the wiring plug for the switch has melted slightly due to a blower motor that is pulling too many amps. You will have to replace the switch, plug, and blower motor.
It is in the fuel tank in the 05 model year.
