How do you replace gas gauge light bulb in 1999 Ford Taurus wagon?

Remove the radio using Ford radio removal tool. Remove screws holding the trim to the left of the radio. Pop off the headlight knob. Pop out the headlight switch trim. That will expose the screws to the instrument gauge trim. Remove the screws, then pull out the trim. Remove the four screws holding the instrument panel in place. Pull the IP out slightly and disconnect the electrical connector. Locate the bulb socket and twist the retainer 1/4 turn and pull out. Replace bulb. Reverse the procedure to install.
