Hi, If I'm not mistaken, there should be a very small pin hole just below where you insert the ign. key.. What you do is take a paper clip and insert it into that small hole when you have the ign. key in the accessories position, and you should be able to pull that whole key & tumbler piece out!

The ignition switch is located on the steering column just above the brake pedal. it has 2 screws holding it in place. You will need to take the entire steering colum off. Pull the wiring harness out.. it's a real pain. I own a 1970 SS 396 cowl induction, factory air, everything stock. It's an orignal. == == Your car has a Rack and rod setup. When the key is turned it pushes the rod down the steering column and slides the ignition switch into the position you want. To replace it you need to remove it from the bottom of the steering column. There should be either two screws or a clamp.

take the wires off the + and - side of the coil, pull the coil wire out of the coil, unbolt the coil from the manifold, to install just reverse directions.
