The front bumper skirt must be removed first. There are a couple of bolts on each side just forward of the front tires. Then there are several plastic push fasteners across the top under the hood. Once the skirting is removed the battery can be seen just forward of the Left front tire. Good luck.
All that needs removed is the inner fender liner in front of the driver side wheel. You can then access the battery.
