Under the hood, right next to the battery, there is a fusebox. There is a 15A fuse in this fuse box labeled audio.
This is the fuse that interrupts the default power signal for the stock radio.
Most aftermarket radios rely on an adapter harness that changes the stock wiring to the standard wiring making it easier to connect the replacement radio, so I would say that in about 95% of instances this is the fuse that you would check first. It is my experience that even if your aftermarket radio has a fuse directly on the rear of the headunit, you most likely blow the primary fuse first.
There is a small door to the left of the steering wheel and down by where it starts to curve in where you put your feet. Its about 4 or 5 inches tall and only a few inches wide, and there is a handle at the top. Pull off that door and all the fuses are in there, with the fuse guide on the inside of the removed door.
The fuse box is located under the hood. Just look on the cover. Theres a diagram of the fuse box and all of them are labeled for the specific devices. Just pull out the blown fuse and replace with the same type.
alternators have a built in fuse
Check your ignition fuse, its in the fuse box, also, your fusible link could be burnt or melted, its connected to your positive battery cable,if burnt or melted, then its your problem.
Usually a fusable link
You failed to mention what year the S10 is but, most of them use a fusible link to protect the alternator circuit.
Clearly there is something wrong with the car besides a bad alternator fuse. Without more information I cannot hazard a guess. But you may want to check the charging system overall to see that it is working correctly. That will include the battery and alternator.
The fuse between the battery and alternator is a fusible link in the small wire that hooks up to the battery terminal along with the regular battery cable. It looks like a thick spot in the wiring. To replace, the cable must be replaced. .
Disconnect the fuse that goes to the horn but also that fuse may power something else also. Mr brown

Under the hood there is a fuse box for the front wiper.
That info can be found in the drivers manual.
I do not know specifically about that vehicle, but you could check the fuse.
