Spraying the plug wires and other ignition parts with starter fluid (ether) will sometimes work (by drying the parts), but don't count on it. No Matter what, if your vehicle will not start due to wet weather, you need a tune up.
simple and cheap
get a can of cheap penatrating oil, remove the plug caps and spray a little into each one, remove the distributor cap and spray a little in there too, oil is'nt a good electical conductor so it wont mess with your spark but it does displace water so it will keep the moisture out and there you go no more problems
P.S do not drown the thing in penatrating oil a light spray is all you need
and please put the plug wires back the same way they came off, better yet do one at a time and replace it before you do the next one.
Car battery is run down.
yes but wont run for long, you will have no lights, horn, radio ect.
lack of fuel to injectors.
Yes, it will start . But it wont run for long. Battery will die, radiator may over heat, exc.
what is the problems car wont start hi if it will not rotates it is the starter motor if it rotates but will not run then it is the immobillizer
bad fuel will cause engine run rough stall out a lot vechicle wont start
yes but it wont run so good and the "check engine" light will illuminate.
just buy a remote start for it -- trust me -- it will save you grief in the long run. Your key is likely not being read because of the amount of use in the ignition, the remote start simulates the resistor in your key to the security system so it can remote start the car. I just use the remote start when the key wont work.
your car has radiator lines that go through the transmission. Check those lines because it sounds like it stops shifting after it gets too hot. check the coolent level as well you may have a leak in the tranny cooling lines.
Because your car runs on gas but your lites run on a battery.
my 93 ford escort lx cranks but wont start an run what is wrong with it please tell me
There are many, many possibilities, but the engine needs a good battery, fuel delivery, compression and spark to start and run. You are probably missing one of those.
