Several sites spell it different ways, but the one that sounds best to me is "Aakoon". There is also "ar kun" and "orkun"
I'm Cambodian and can speak and write Cambodian. The closest phonetic in saying thank you is "Aw ko-oon" (pronounce Ko-oon as one syllable). Typically, we don't just say "thank you" by itself. We'd say "I thank you" (Knyoum Aw ko-oon) or "Sohm Aw ko-oon" (polite or official way) or "Sohm Aw Ko-oon J-rahn", Thank You Very Much. Hope that helps.
