It's all about pushing air out through your DIAPHRAGM not your throat. If you push the air out of your diaphragm as opposed to your throat, the voice will come out clearer, louder, and fuller as well as NOT damage your vocal chords
Some bands cup their hands around the mic to block the sound of air and whisper screaming all that remains does this
Hardcore Punk has influenced Heavy Metal ever since Hardcore came into being. Naturally, you began getting bands which crossed over elements of the two. From this, Thrash Metal came into being, notably beginning with Venom and their "Welcome to Hell" album. Another obvious example which bands such as Discharge, Bad Brains, and other notable Hardcore Punk bands had on the formation of Thrash can be with Slayer, whose demo material largely sought to emulate Judas Priest, whereas their first studio releases took on a heavy Hardcore Punk influence, which one might even say amounted to pure Venom worship. Whilst Thrash bands were forming sold lines, other bands began to crop up which combined elements of both Heavy Metal and Hardcore Punk. Yet, these bands didn't quite fit into the Thrash category, and the term Metalcore was soon coined to categorize these bands. Notable examples from the 80s include S.O.D., Carnivore, and Cro-Mags.
Currently, Metalcore seems to be more of a marketing catchphrase than anything else. Most of the bands currently playing what's labeled as Metalcore are almost purely (some might say "watered down") Hardcore spinoffs.
Its not so much a scream as it is a growl . Always make sure that you scream from your stomech and breath through your nose not your mouth because you will choke . I am a black metal musican and i recomend that you always practice growls first then move to the heavier stuff .
There are many ways to scream. Most people scream from the back of their throat. bands like as i lay dying and as blood runs black. Bands like Children of Bodom and The feist use a voice crack wich is very hard and if not done right can destroy your vocal chords.
Well, you dont scream a lot in normal heavy metal, the most screams are in metalcore, and you scream as if you were angry not like a little scared girl yelling.
u have to build up pressure like u are dropping the kids of at the pool an use your stomach not your throat
