You have to Publish or Finish the video in the program first before you can send it anywhere. Publishing/finishing the video exports audio/video properties into Standard viewing format so that others can view the video on their respective media players.

How do you share movie on facebook created in windows movie maker?

Before you can view, share, email or burn a movie from Windows Movie Maker, you must first Publish or Finish the project. This process exports/converts the Windows Movie Maker file into a Standard viewing format (that others can see).Once you have Published or Finished the movie maker video, you can view it in any media player, send it by email, upload it to the Internet or burn it to CD/DVD.Just remember, you CANNOT do this with a Windows Movie Maker video that is still in project form.

How do you send a video from Windows Media Player to Windows Movie Maker?

The Windows Media Player video has to be an actual file to be imported into Windows Movie Maker (meaning you can't drag and drop it).Although I haven't tried it, I believe you can copy the file from Windows Media Player and paste it into Windows Movie Maker (but I don't know this for sure). The best way to get media from Windows Media Player is to ensure it is Saved in the Library. Then, open the file's location and import it that way.

Where can I download Windows Movie Maker 2.1 for Windows XP and will it work on Windows 7 or Windows Vista?

There are three ways to install Windows Movie Maker 2.1 for Windows XP on Windows 7.1-First on Windows XP go to programs on C drive and copy the Movie Maker program file and paste it into your My Documents or Downloads folder. A copy of the Movie Maker program file should now be in your my Documents or Downloads folder where you have pasted it.Go to where you have pasted the Movie Maker file, right click on the file with your mouse and click send to zip folder. This creates a zip file with all the Movie Maker program files inside. Now to install Movie Maker 2.1 on Windows 7 you can either-1-Transfer the Movie Maker zip file from your Windows XP computer to your Windows 7 computer using Microsoft shared View or Team Viewer.Which lets you transfer files from one computer to the other computer. Or-2- Upload the Movie Maker zip file to a file sharing and storage site online like Mediafire. And then download it onto your Windows 7 computer. Or-3-Transfer the Movie Maker zip file onto a USB thumb drive from your Windows XP computer and install it onto your Windows 7 computer that way.Once you have got the Movie Maker zip file onto your Windows 7 computer using one of the three methods above. Open the zip file and extract the files to Programs on C drive and make a new folder. Rename new folder Movie Maker 2.1 so that it does not conflict with any other versions of Movie Maker you have installed. Now send the Movie Maker short cut to your desktop and click on it. And now Windows Movie Maker 2.1 is working on Windows 7. And the web cam feature will also work. But please note, you must have Windows Movie Maker 2.6 installed in order for Windows Movie Maker 2.1 to work. This is because Windows Movie Maker 2.1 uses some of the dill and program files of Windows Movie Maker 2.6 in order to run. But as long as you have Windows Movie Maker 2.6 installed, then Windows Movie Maker 2.1 will work on Windows 7.Windows Movie Maker 2.1 works on Windows 7 without any problems. And can be used alongside other versions of Windows Movie Maker,Windows Movie Maker 6 and 2.6.

How do you retrieve pictures in a windows movie maker project that was sent by email?

If the pictures were in a Windows Movie Maker project (MSWMM) you will not be able to retrieve them because a .MSWMM file needs access to the Original Source Files.Since the project was sent via email, the Original Source Files (from the computer the project was designed on) are not available.Even if the computer the emailed MSWMM file was sent to has a Windows Movie Maker program to open the file, nothing will appear since NONE of the original source files used to create it can be located.Just remember... to send a Windows Movie Maker video via email, make sure it has been Published/Finished first.

How do you make a movie with just a video camera?

How do you send a MSWMM file from Windows Movie Maker 6.0 Vista to a computer that doesn't run Vista. It needs to be that file though not the wmv format because they need to be able to edit the file?

You can't send a MSWMM file to any other computer because it is a Microsoft Windows Movie Maker PROJECT file. The project file requires access to the 'original source files'(audio/video/pics) used to create the project. If you try to open a MSWMM project file on another computer's Windows Movie Maker program, the project will show up with red X's through all of the media, since the original source files are not accessible on that particular machine. The only way for another user to view/edit a Windows Movie Maker video is if it is in a Standard Viewing Format (such as .wmv). The project can then be edited in Windows Movie Maker using the Split feature (for addition of new media). Other edits can also be made to the video by deleting or muting audio/music, removing Titles/Credits/Text, etc.Absolutely no editing can be done to a MSWMM project file unless the original source file are available (on that computer).

How do you change a Windows Movie Maker video into a Windows Media Video?

you just save the movies that you made on movie maker as save movies** A WMM project is still in "unfinished" form(.MSWMM)and can only be viewed/edited in Windows Movie Maker.** A PUBLISHED/FINISHED WMM video is the "finalized" format. Before you can view your WMM (Windows Movie Maker) project on a media player, send it by email, or upload it anywhere, you first need to PUBLISH/FINISH the WMM project. This finalizes the project by means of "mixing down" audio/video properties.Note: The videos file name extension (or Properties) will automatically be changed to the .wmv (for computer playback) or other extension depending on the saving option. To Publish/Finish your WMM project:> With your project in the time-line view of Windows Movie Maker> Click on View and Tasks, to open the task pane> Under Publish to ---- (Windows Vista v2.6)> Under Finish Movie (Windows Xp v2.1 )> Choose - This computer> Name the movie and select a destination to save it in ---(Choose/make a folder to save it in that you can access easily)> Click Next> Select option: Best quality for playback on my computer (recommended)> Click Publish or Finish (depending on your WMM version)When the video is published/finished, you should be able to find it in the folder you saved it in. Click on it and it should open up in the media player you use.
