If you mean sleep mode, then all you have to do is put the screen down. Unfortunately, there isn't a hibernate mode such as in windows.
You can't get a virus on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X whereas it is easy to get a virus on a computer running the Windows operating system.
If you didn't shut it down then yes it would be there but if you did shut it down you would've got a warning if you didn't save what you where doing!
not if you don't have anything running
If you have an application open, Alt+F4 will shut it down. If you do not have an application running, it will shut down the computer.
Nope - they are two entirely different machines, running different operating systems.
The Macbook is made by Apple Computer.
A MacBook isn't a book, its a laptop computer.
It is what Apple calls their laptop computer. There are 2 versions. The MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro.
There are a lot of programs running in the backround which need to shut off properly before your computer can shut down. To see these programs, press Ctrl/Alt/Delete to get the Task Manager, click on programs running tab and you will see a list of all the programs running.
The Macbook Air, like other laptops, will go into sleep mode when you close the cover. This is because when the system sends the 'Quit' or 'Exit' command to running applications, the application will ask if you want to save your work before quitting. This dialogue will stall the shut down procedure if it is not answered. So setting up to shut down when closing the cover would often fail. This would probably drain the battery and people would ask, "How can I get my laptop to go to sleep just by closing the cover?" When you close the lid of your MacBook Air, it does not shut down. It puts itself in Sleep Mode. To make sure that your MacBook Air is in sleep mode when you close the lid, simply look at the sleep light. It is the white light that glows. There is no setting that you can change to make your MacBook Air shut down when you close the lid. Operating Systems do not work that way.
The computer's power, or its ability to stay powered on and running, is maintained by the charge in the battery. The battery's electricity is used by the computer to keep running. If there is no charge in the battery, or the battery is removed, the computer will shut off and will not be able to be powered up.
There is no such thing as "macbook mode"
