you can send it to sony for like 100 $ they will fix it and give you game back. But remember sometimes they dont want to mess with it they give ya disk back and brand new ps3 and so you loose all your saved games ect.
Best solution is to do it your self will take few hours but there is step by step on YouTube how to take ps3 apart and get to motherboard once you are done you can resolder the solder bridges on the system that were created from over heating and it will work again. It will work just fine but it might melt down again depending on "how good your soldering work will be" if you can use solder removing suction tube to get all old solder off and use good make solder and make very good soldering job then you will not have the issue of YLOD. i have done that 2nd time i got YLOD i didnt send it in and it has been working great for over 3 years now.
Fixing the YLOD on the PS3 will cost $150.00.
I believe that was a fat PS3 problem

You may never get it. Only some of the PS3 models have gotten the yellow light of death and not every one in any one model version has gotten it

The game does not cause the yellow light of death. You can know this for sure because not every person who has a PS3 that had the yellow light of death has played Call of Duty games.
