Offer to pay the loan in full. However, if it has reached the point of the sale you have probably waited too long.
Lien sale. Dont know your state or laws, but in CA., lien sale works great.
you are gay if you read this
Yes. The person you bought it from should have given you a clean bill-of-sale. Take all your personal stuff out of it, as it will soon and legally be gone.
there is also no bill of sale on it.
In some situations, yes. If a shop has a mechanic's lien on your vehicle for nonpayment of services, and the lender is notified that sale is immanent but makes not effort to stop it, the vehicle may legally be sold.
My advice, is run as fast as you can from this car. Want a legal mess then continue messing with this car. There are millions of cars out there for sale. Why mess with such a vehicle. If you have already made the mistake of buying this car, you need to contact the lender that has a lien on the car, and get a lien release.
does my car have a lien?
You can't legally sell the car without the title. Why not just go to Volkswagon and get the title. Or can you not do that because VW has a lien on the vehicle. Stop, think, and do not do a very foolish thing, that will bring you nothing but trouble. No title, no sale.
Someone has the car and the finance company has a lien on it. Any sale would have been fraudulent.
is there a lien on this car
you will have to find out who has a lein on it have them fill out a fourm of lein satisfy. In most states a lien holder is recorded on the title and the lien holder will keep the title until the lien is paid off. After the lien holder is paid off, they will sign the title to release the lien and give/send the title to the owner. The title office can tell you who has a lien on the title.
Pay off the lien with the proceeds of the sale.
