How to care for baby robins, or any other wild baby bird: Get yourself a medicine syringe (most drug stores have them) and get some baby rice cereal. Mix up the rice cereal with warm water and suck up into medicine syringe, and when the chicks are hungry you just put the end of the medicine syringe into their mouth and feed. Don't be afraid to put it down their throat a little, the mother does this with her beak. If you can, go to Petco or a petstore and buy some bird hand feeding food. I know petco carries this for about $5.99. It is better for them then the rice cereal, but the rice cereal will be ok if you cant find hand feeding food for birds. You should also know that baby robins poop ALOT! So you should be prepared to clean up their area frequently. If you cannot care for the chicks, then call your local vet office and ask if they have a number for someone who cares for wildlife, and baby animals that have been found. They can usually point you in the right direction. If you decide to keep the chick, or chicks then you must know that you cannot let them go once they grow up because they won't know how to fend for themselves, and they will die if you release them. So decide carefully. Also, the mortality rate is quite high in baby birds, so don't be surprised if only one chick lives. Good Luck! PS: the chicks eat about every hour to hour and a half! but they do sleep all night, so get your rest, you'll be up early feeding them!

Unless you know for sure that the baby robin has no parent to take care of it, it should be left alone. An orpaned baby robin should be kept warm. In a box with a lamp of low wattage over it. Be sure not to roast it, just keep it warm. Do not handle it to much because this is not natural for the baby. I feed the babies I rescured a diet of cheap dog food, beef. Look for the type that has a high cereal contain and is finely chopped. This will give them all the protein, carbs and mositure they need to grow on. Feed them often, 2 or 3 times an hour, do not force them. If they are healthy they will open their mouths and you can just drop a small amount in their mouths. You can also add some hard boiled egg yolk to it as well. Remember that they are wild animals and should be turned over to a wildlife shelter as soon as possible when possible. They can turn them back out into the wild again when they are ready. This method has worked well with me.

If you found a robin big or small (adult or baby) read below for answers...

OK so you found a robin that is good. You've saved it from getting hurt from outside predators. Now your probably wondering how you take care of it while it grows or recovers. Well don't fret, it's very simple and easy for you to do.

Baby robins: If you found a baby robin be careful when you pick it up. You want to pick it up from the top of it's back your palm should completly cover both of it's wings and your fingers should be touching the bottom of it's stomach. Now, put your other hand under it like a cup and keep it close to you (body temperature is everything to a baby).

When you get inside you need to put the bird somewhere safe while you make it's "nest". Find a ice cream bucket or another type of bucket and put 2-3 pieces of napkin paper in first. Then put 1-2 pieces of tissue paper in on top of it. Then, like I told you to, put the robin in the "nest".

See, that wasn't so hard! But, that's just the beginning you need to see if it's hungry. For the food you want to get Friskie cat food. You know, the ones in the tuna like cans? Yes you may think I'm crazy but it's true. My baby robin, Pain, loves it. It has enough nutrients to keep your little one going. At first the robin might not eat; do not fear, you just need to earn it's trust. When it gets hungry it will let you know.

If it's still very tiny feed it with half a popsicle stick. That means if you eat a fudgesicle save the stick and rip it in half (only very tiny amounts). If it's a bit bigger that a tiny one that looks lk

Leave it alone. Keep it warm. Then if you can't find it's mother, let it hatch and feed it worms (squished up), and berries (also squished up.

You really can't. Stay clear of her nest, and keep the cat away, but other than that she would like to be left alone.

Compare caring for your eggs to realities of caring for a human infant?

that egg is not that really heave as the infant. when i go different places i need to bring my egg with me just like the real baby. the egg is like a real infant because when they have crack you can just fix it just like the real baby when they have wound. if we are not going to fix them the it's get hard to fix. we need to take good care of our egg just like the real infant. it's our responsibilities to take care of our own egg just like when we have an infant. it is better to take care of our own egg and our own baby. do not listen to them of what they say about your baby like for example " you can put your baby for adoption. This is totally wrong for your baby.
