Or...do a hard reset: turn off computer, remove ac adapter and battery, hold down power button for 20 seconds, put battery and ac adapter back on, then turn on computer.

num lock = number lock
scr lock = scroll lock
caps/cps lock = caps lock
there is sometimes a light on the keyboard somewhere or on the keys to show if its on or not.
to lock a computer (going to the logon screen but not logging off) you hold start (windows key) and press L. or go to start > arrow next to log off/shut down then press lock
