Capturing video in Windows Movie Maker simply means you are importing the media from a Removable/Portable/External Device such as a DV camera. If you wish to import media from somewhere other than a camera, you don't need to use the "Capture" option.
Instead, click on Import Media. Locate the video file you want to use and click Import. The file will appear in your Imported Media viewing pane (or Collection folder).

The Windows Movie Maker project file needs to be Published/Finished/Saved (which changes the video to a Standard format) before you can upload it anywhere.
Windows Movie Maker files have to be published or finished in the program first before they can be uploaded onto YouTube. The publishing/finishing process exports the project file properties into .wmv format, which is a Standard viewing format. So, Publish or Finish your video in Windows Movie Maker first. Then upload the .wmv video to YouTube.
