Horses have evolved over the course of 65 million years, they have everything they need to survive bred into them. They are fast, smart, and resourceful. Along with the bred in instincts they learn from one another as to what is and is not safe.
I'd say they need at least:
Shelter
Grass/haylage
water
Regular vet checks
they survive by eating their tails they have 500 tails and they think its yummy
They adapt to there surroundings and fight off attakrs with there powerfull body
it watches brave wilderness
