Social Security has no affect on Colorado's unemployment benefits. Only 4 other states have their unemployment offset by a portion of Social Security.
No. Social Security benefits are not affected in Colorado by receiving unemployment.

A person generally receives one or the other SSD or SSI benefits. A disabled adult child cannot get social security from his parent's benefits and get SSI at the same time. Also, when one person in the family gets full SSD, all other persons in the household who receive SSI receive a lowered amount of benefits.

No, in fact most places these benefits are taxable income, but withholding isn't required, so you may end up underpaid (and owing tax and penalty) if you don't consider it. However, that UI is probably much less than your normally making, and not earning that income may mean you remain in a loweer bracket anyway...you effectively get a lower rate.
The salary of the average worker in the United States was lowered from 1900 to 1929 due to the depression and high unemployment.
Well, that depends on what is keeping you from retirement. If you have the money to retire, you can retire anytime. If you are just waiting for Social Security benefits to kick in, then it depends on your age. In the past, the full benefit age was 65, and early retirement benefits were first available at age 62. (Early retirement lowered your benefits (permanently) to 80 percent of the full benefit amount.) Currently, the full benefit age is 66 for people born in 1943-1954, and it will gradually rise to 67 for those born in 1960 or later. The earliest is still 62, but depending on when you were born, the benefits will be further reduced from the amount stated above. Details are broken down on the Social Security page (ssa.gov/planners/retire/retirechart.html).
