What does the Bible say about telling the future?

We are promised a new, righteous heavens and earth:

But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:13)

Our new earth will have no sea:

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. (Revelation 21:1)

You will not remember former things:

"For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind. (Isaiah 65:17)

There will not be a sun or a moon:

And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. (Revelation 21:23)

Gravity will be absent or greatly reduced (Anything the size of the New Jerusalem would become a sphere with gravity):

"And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband... And the city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal." (Revelation 21:2, 16)

No more death, suffering, pain

for the Lamb in the center of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them to springs of the water of life; and God shall wipe every tear from their eyes." (Revelation 7:17)

and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4)

There will be water provided by the Lord:

And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, (Revelation 22:1)

No sex or gender:

"You are mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures, or the power of God. "For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. (Matthew 22:29-30)

Also, believers will receive a new body and a new name! I will show my proof, and what our new bodies will be like:

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. (1 Corinthians 15:42-44)

This is the comparison between our old (current) bodies, and our resurrection bodies (In case you could not understand the verse above):

Old (Current) Bodies: Perishable, Dishonor, Weakness, Natural

New (Resurrection) Bodies: Imperishable, Glory, Power, Spiritual

This means we will be very much like God.

Here is proof of us receiving a new name:

'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it.' (Revelation 2:17)

Deuteronomy 18:10b-12a "anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, 12 for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord."
Jeremiah 27:9-10 "So do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your dreamers, your fortune-tellers, or your sorcerers, who are saying to you, 'You shall not serve the king of Babylon.' 10 For it is a lie that they are prophesying to you, with the result that you will be removed far from your land, and I will drive you out, and you will perish."
Jeremiah 14:14-16 "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds. Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although I did not send them, and who say, 'Sword and famine shall not come upon this land': By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed. And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem, victims of famine and sword, with none to bury them-them, their wives, their sons, and their daughters. For I will pour out their evil upon them."

Some people like to cheat when reading a "mystery" and jump to the back of the book to see how it turns out. If people would do that with the mystery that is the Bible... and BELIEVE what it says there... the future is revealed there:

"Then I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone." (Rev.21:1 NLT New Living Translation)

This earth is dying! Sinning [disobedient] mankind is killing the planet that sustains them through their selfish, rebellious attitude toward God's laws that govern life and the proper maintenance of the earth.

"For six years you may plant your fields and prune your vineyards and harvest your crops, but DURING THE SEVENTH YEAR THE LAND WILL ENJOY A SABBATH YEAR OF REST UNTO THE LORD. DO NOT PLANT YOUR CROPS OR PRUNE YOUR VINEYARDS DURING THE ENTIRE YEAR... THE LAND IS TO HAVE TOTAL REST... But you, your male and female slaves, your hired servants, and any foreigners who live with you may eat the produce that grows naturally during the Sabbath year." (Lev.25:3-6 NLT)

Centuries of mankind's rebellion against God's laws regarding the maintenance of the earth [specifically, in this one example, rich farm land]; where man has "forced" the earth to continually produce crops by introducing artificial chemicals and nutrients for the sake of lust, greed and greater profits... has resulted in the depletion of the earth's arable land. God commands a year of rest every seventh year for the soil to RESTORE ITSELF -- NATURALLY!

This has resulted in these last days in the necessity of vast numbers of food processing companies to "add artificial colorings, vitamins, minerals and flavors" in order to try to make the "foodless foods" that they force the earth to grow each year to TASTE SOMEWHAT LIKE REAL FOOD.

This is an example of the over-processed foodless foods devoid of nutrition that the earth's populations digest contributes to one of the reasons for poor health, sickness and diseases.

Mankind's faithless ignorance of God's laws is killing the planet that sustains us. Both the laws that govern the maintenance of the earth and God's Ten Commandments that govern the relationship [plain and simple love and respect] between God and man... and between and among one's fellowman.

Jesus tells us that in the future -- THINGS ARE GOING TO DETERIORATE TO THE POINT WHERE:

"...THAT WILL BE A TIME OF GREATER HORROR [KJV: Great Tribulation] THAN ANYTHING THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN OR WILL EVER SEE AGAIN. In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened [by God], THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE WILL BE DESTROYED. But it will be shortened for the sake of God's Chosen Ones." (Matt.24:21-22 NLT)

The bottom line is that a "nuclear, chemical, biological, and who knows what else is on the drawing boards" World War III is coming in the future. A PLANET-KILLING WAR, that man's Creator is going to have to shorten and step into the affairs of His creation to SAVE IT.

"In fact, UNLESS THE LORD SHORTENS THAT TIME of calamity, the entire human race will be destroyed..." (Mark 13:20 NLT).

That's the immediate future where man's destructive disobedience to his Creator is leading him. Directly into the GREAT TRIBULATION [Seal 5 of Revelation 6]. That's where man's false religions are leading him... to World War III. The two big things [wars started by religious differences] that have always naturally resulted in famine, pestilences and diseases -- better known as the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse," which are the first four seals of Revelation 6 that lead into Seal 5; the Great Tribulation.

These future global events will be followed by Seal 6; the darkening of the sun and moon, etc [see Rev.6] - or God's "shortening of the Great Tribulation" -- followed by the final Seal 7: the Day of the LORD. The return of Jesus Christ, the establishment of God's Kingdom [Government] on earth [see Isa.9:6-7]... and Judgment Day, the conclusion of God's plan for the BIRTH OF HIS DIVINE, IMMORTAL FAMILY!

So, go ahead and cheat! Take a look at the end of the mystery. A New Heaven and New Earth is in our future, when all of mankind [created in the image of God] will be CHANGED!

"Behold,, I tell you A MYSTERY. We shall not all sleep [die], but we shall ALL BE CHANGED... For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must PUT ON IMMORTALITY." (I Cor.15:51-53 NKJ New King James)

It's a most amazing future of which the false religions of this world have no inkling. Contrary to the teachings of the false religions of this world... men don't "GO TO HEAVEN" [and never has - see John 3:13]. God is coming HERE, to the NEW EARTH!

"...I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, COMING DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN FROM GOD... GOD'S DWELLING PLACE IS AMONG MEN and HE WILL DWELL AMONG THEM and they shall be His peoples. Yes, GOD HIMSELF WILL BE AMONG THEM... Death shall be no more; nor sorrow, nor wail of woe, nor pain; for the first things have passed away. Then He who was seated on the throne said, 'I AM RE-CREATING ALL THINGS.' And He added, 'Write down these Words, for they are Trustworthy and True.'" (Rev.21:2-5 WEY Weymouth's New Testament)

The religions of this world don't seem to have ANY clue of the future... even though it's right there at the end of [and throughout] the Bible for anyone to see -- if only the world had the Faith to BELIEVE it.

"...To those who are truly thirsty I will give the privilege of drinking from the well of the Water of Life [the Holy Spirit] without payment. All this will be the heritage of him who overcomes, and I will be his God and HE SHALL BE ONE OF MY SONS." (Rev. 21:6-7 WEY)

The world is blind to the Truth of God because the satanic false religions aren't teaching it. It cannot believe that God is procreating Himself; making His Immortal Family through man, created in His image. Even though the plain Words shout it out to anyone willing to listen and believe them:

"The Spirit itself bears witness, along with our own spirits, to THE FACT THAT WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD; and if Children, then Heirs too - Heirs of God and CO-HEIRS WITH CHRIST, if indeed we are sharers in Christ's suffering, in order that we may also be SHARERS IN HIS GLORY." (Rom.8:16-17 WEY)

The Bible is the Divinely-revealed message of God to His creation, man. It's the "Product Owner's Manual" that tells man what he is, why he is, when he came into existence... and HIS POTENTIAL FOR THE FUTURE.

The Bible "predicts" this future because the future is where God's plan is leading.

When we think, and plan, and scheme, and work out and implement our plans... it's because we have an END GAME in mind. A FUTURE GOAL.

So, it is with God's Word. God's "prophecies" aren't just "predictions" that may or may not happen. God's prophecies are "THE FUTURE TOLD IN ADVANCE." It's not "guess work" -- it's a definite and sure thing.

The thing about it is, that Bible prophecies only provide a source of Hope to "those who believe" the Words written therein. To the rest of the world, the Bible is guess work, myth, folklore, Fairy Tales and errant history.

One example of how the Bible predicts the future is "by reading" it. Like the prediction:

"...I saw a NEW HEAVEN and a NEW EARTH, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone." (Rev.21:1 NLT New Living Translation]

Do you see it? Do you get it? THAT'S THE FUTURE WHETHER ANYONE BELIEVES IT OR NOT! Because it's GOD'S PLAN FOR THE FUTURE that He has in mind for His creation!

He's telling mankind the future... any of us who wants to, or has the opportunity to read it. We can believe it or reject it. But it's the TRUTH about what's going to happen in the future whether anyone believes it, or not.

The prediction cited above will take place in the future just "on the other side of the LAST GREAT DAY OF GOD'S PLAN!" That Great Day is also known as JUDGMENT DAY! When, after all the physical matter of the earth is "altered" [changed] by being "put to the fire." Fire melts things down. It both purifies and removes all the impurities from the most precious elements... and it turns to ashes all that it worthless.

But the Bible is "God's Word." It's His "Revelation of the Future." It's what's going to happen at the conclusion of this present "time allotment" [6000 years] God has given to man [the CHILDREN OF HIS FUTURE FAMILY, created in His image] in this "first experience at living, existing," to learn about "good and evil" [learn obedience to law and authority or rebel against it and reject it - I John 3:4], and to "develop whatever character and personality" [Righteous or unrighteous; good or bad] they extract from this life; this developmental "first phase of Eternity."

The Bible is a SURE LOOK AT THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD. It's message has always been the same: "Following man's [6000 year] Satan-guided attempt at ruling himself and the world without God and without His laws -- God is going to remove man's [and Satan's] sovereignty over the earth and ESTABLISH HIS GOVERNMENT UPON IT! "

The Bible predicts it. It's the Message and Good News [gospel] from God to His creation [see Mark 1:14-15]. It's the Truth whether anyone believes it or not. And it's going to happen.

But you and I don't need to be there for it to happen. Our belief or disbelief doesn't affect the outcome of the Bible's predictions. It will happen anyway. It's just in the best interest of those who Believe, Trust and place their Hope in what the Bible predicts.

"...LOOK, I AM MAKING ALL THINGS NEW!' ...'Write this down, for WHAT I TELL YOU is TRUSTWORTHY and TRUE.' ...'All who are victorious [in Believing, Trusting and placing their Hope in what the Bible says] will INHERIT ALL THESE BLESSINGS, and I will be THEIR GOD, and THEY WILL BE MY CHILDREN.'" (Rev.21:3-7 NLT)

That's how the Bible predicts the future. The future is "written down" in it, recorded, preserved and Divinely-revealed to man by his Creator. Its Words are TRUTH [John 17:17]; Trustworthy and True. The WHOLE WORLD CAN KNOW THIS FUTURE... because there are more than enough Bibles to go around [if they were only better distributed]. But in the end... the only ones who truly know the future are those who "believe" the Bible's Words.

The rest [the vast majority of mankind] will have to wait for the time when it happens.
