What I would do is first, make a menu and an ordering sheet. To do that, you have to first know what your cook would like to make... so, if that is going to be your mom or dad, better check with them to see what you can include on the menu. Second, I would make sure you have a nice tablecloth for the table, and some essential things like salt shakers and napkins on the table for your guests. You can use candles if your parents say it is okay, and you are going for a fancy type restaurant. Last, make sure that you have someone to be the waiter or waitress. When the guests come in, hand them menus and ask them what they would like. Then guide them to the table. They will choose a main course and something to drink, and perhaps a dessert later if they aren't full, so all those things need to be on the menu. :) Make sure you refill the guest's water or other drink if they want more, and ask if they need anything else... that's pretty much what a restaurant does. You might want to also apologize that they have to sit so close to the kitchen (that is one of the worst places to sit in a regular restaurant). :)
