he electromagnetic stirrer utilizes the principle of a linear motor and differs from the conventional mechanical and decompression types as it is a noncontact stirrer in which no part touches the molten metal. As shown in the diagram, a coil installed at the bottom of the furnace generates a moving magnetic field (H) if a 3 phase AC voltage is applied to this coil (inductor). Electric power force is generated in the molten metal due to the action of the magnetic field (magnetic flux) and causes induction current (I) to flow (Fleming's right hand rule). This current then acts with the magnetic field of the inductor to induce electromagnetic force (F) in the molten metal according to Fleming's left hand rule. As this thrust moves in the direction of the moving magnetic field, the molten metal also moves. In other words, an stirring action is applied. Furthermore, as this thrust has components in the horizontal direction and in the vertical direction, the molten metal flows diagonally upwards and results in a uniform temperature in both the top and bottom layers of the molten metal.

What is the working principle of a Synchronous Generator?

synchronous generator is similar to the principle of laws of electro magnetic induction that is "whenever the magnetic flux linking in a conductor that time emf is induced at the ends of the conductor "

Why is it said that generator is a motor working in reverse?

because working principle of both the things are same. The motor converts electrical energy in to mechanical via magnetic induction and generator do the exact opposite of this. And yes,you should use 'electricity generator' not only 'generator'.

WORKING principle of permanent magnet moving coil instrument?

The working principle of these instruments is same as that of the d'Arsonval type of galvanometers, the difference being that a direct reading instrument is provided with a pointer and a scale. The basic principle of this device is the interaction of magnetic field of the compass (a permanent magnet) and the field around the conductor (a simple electromagnet)

Why mixture of solution needs to be stirred for half an hour by using magnetic stirrer?

To ensure the solution is uniformly heated and the reaction is reacted overall

What is working principle?

A working principle is a regulation or rule that is used so that work can be done. This is a general phrase that can be used in any circumstance from the working principle of a motor, to the working principle of a solar cells.
