There is quite a lot of controversy about that, from those who say that nothing happens to those who warn against cancer caused by the EMF around those towers.
Scientific studies have shown that:
- There are fields inherent to a mobile phone tower. Those fields are strongest up to 30' (10m) from it but can be measured up to 900' (300m).
- The exposure of biological tissues and organisms to fields of that frequency and strength for continuous periods exceeding 15 minutes, produce heat at a cellular level and the destruction of some cells effecting also some properties of the cells including cell division and reproduction.
- Human and animal studies are ongoing and only long term studies may provide complete results
To be safe, I would stay on the correct side of a mobile tower's fence.
