A tsunami loses energy mostly by friction when it encounters a coast or shallow water. Some energy can also be lost to turbulence in the water. Eventually this process consumes all of a tsunami's energy. This takes a while; although a tsunami usually loses any destructive potential in a few hours it can show up as an anomaly on tidal gauges for days afterward.

Like any wave they are also attenuated by spreading with distance, though the geography may mean the normal inverse-square law of waves from point sources might not work very well.
You can't stop a tsunami .
They are dangerous
and you probably don't even have time to finish building a wall and then it comes.
The only thing you can do to some one is to pray to God about it.
how to stop a tsunami its kinda easy u see u either can build something strong enough to block that high wave or ucan ask scientist to build some thing but it will take years to build
my second thought is u cant unless u can stop volcano eruptions
500 feet high land fills across the entire coast good luck
Your answer is quite good, but i need a more specific answer ,btw Thx!

I will give you a more specific answer to your specific question, "How Do You Prevent A Tsunami?" The simple answer is, you cannot. They, like the earthquakes responsible for most of them, are totally beyond human control. Countries in regions at risk from them can take steps to minimise the effects, but no-one can prevent them happening. Volcanic eruptions are linked to tsunamis, but by no means directly except in a very few particular circumstances and events.
They can be stop if we put a 1000 ft tall wall to prevent the tsunami but we need to know a long time be for this happens.
If a tidal wave is coming get to the highest ground possible is the best protection.
Nothing. There no way for us to stop them.
A tidal Wall
you cant stop a tsunami
Unless you know how to tie tectonic plates together so they can't move about or you know how to prevent other geological activity, the answer is no: You cannot prevent a tsunami. However, you can prevent a tsunami from completely destroying a human population by giving people a chance to run away from the tsunami, given prior warning. I'm sure there is some kind of tsunami detector, probably resembling a seismometer.
U can't
You yell Imanust! thus cancelling out the equation
yes, if we build some type of wall to prevent a tsunami from hitting land
You cannot reduce a tsunami. Just like other natural calamities like earthquake and volcanic eruptions, you cannot predict or reduce it. However, you can reduce its impact by taking protective measures outlined by responsible authorities.
You can not prevent an earthquake and tsunami like you can prevent getting sick before you get sick.
you can't stop or prevent a tsunami. You can go to a higher ground to get away from it.
no
It doesn't
No. A tsunami is a natural event thankfully mankind can't control nature.

i dout it because we cant prevent earthquakes and we dont know when an earthquake will occur so no you cant prevent one
You yell Imanust! thus cancelling out the equation
There is nothing you can do to prevent the results of tsunami. Levies, alarms, and cement walls are the only thing to be made.
yes, if we build some type of wall to prevent a tsunami from hitting land
Nothing. It is impossible to stop a volcanic eruption.
