If you're in jail...do you think you have a job? But seriously, MJ is technically not as much physiologically addictive as it is psychologically addictive. You start out taking MJ when you're feeling down or you need to relax. Maybe you have a test coming up, so you smoke pot. Had a bad day at work, smoke pot. Soon enough you rely on MJ to get you through things. You've never learned to cope with things without pot. Pot stunts your emotional health dramatically. Even recreational smokers (smoking anything is bad for your lungs), need to this into consideration. Bottom line, employers see pot smokers as people who can't do their job right.
