get some pond plants, get rid of algae and decaying plant / animals in pond
The amount of oxygen in pond water is, in part, a function of the temperature of the water. Hot water holds less oxygen than cold water. So shading the water to reduce the temperature is one way to increase the oxygen level in a pond. Another way is to increase turbulance at the water surface. Add a fountain, water fall or a spitter to cascade the water into the pond. Remember, plants only add oxygen during the day in the presence of sunlight. At night, when there is no sunlight, they use oxygen. And, yes, decaying plant matter and fish consume oxygen. (www.rosepond.com)
I would suggest you consult www.aquaticeco.com . They are extremely knowledgeable in large-scale aquaculture and have technicians and biologists on staff to help analyze your application, as well as the materials you will need to build a solution. If you go to this page:

you will find a pretty good array of possible answers - there is no one best way. Putting it together for your application may take their assistance, based on their tons of experience.
Disclaimer: I am affiliated only with Aquatic Ecosystems as a very satisfied, many-years long customer for my - humble - fishponds of a few hundred to few thousand gallons. With a strong scientific background, I can appreciate the excellent tools/materials/equipment they offer and usually design my own solutions. I have never been disappointed when I have asked them a question about my situation, which advice they have freely given. Good fortune!
Try plants. Plants do photosynthesis so it should help your aquarium. JUst make sure you have enough light for the plants to work well. The pump is still much better though.

bcuz fishes need oxygen to survie in their wild p:
organic matter helps provide oxygen for the fish to breathe
The best way to improve oxygen levels in ponds is to add plants such as water lillies to improve shade. Anacharis and Cabomba are good for increasing oxygen and improving water quality.
They need water Fish can not process oxygen the same way mammels do. They get their oxygen throu molecules in the water.
Why do you live on land? Fish don't have lungs they have gills, when moving water is going through them the gills take the oxygen from the water and the fish breaths, no water = no oxygen = dead fish.
this is correct as the fish cause a bacteria to be generated as they are in a cramped environment. this bacteria saps oxygen from the fish, so the fish in the pond take more oxygen. then the plants take in more oxygen to try and compete so they can respire (not photosynthesize.
In the case of fish in a pond, completely submerged plants are helpful in that they add oxygen to the water and offer a food source. They also add oxygen to the air surrounding the pond for lunged animals that live there.
In the metric system:Litres for small fish pondsCubic metres for large onesIn imperial units:GallonsCubic FeetMaybe acre-feet, but only for larger bodies of water. An acre-foot is the volume of one acre, one foot deep, so it is 43560 cubic feet.
if its a pond you have its coi they can live for years ans are a hardy fish
