works off vaccum make sure the caps are tight. most likely pulls from left or driver side into engine. as left tank creates vaccum it pulls from right side to even tanks.
I believe 18 gals. in front tank and 20 gals. in rear
On top of the tank, about 1/4 forward from the back of the tank.
yes in the tank each tank has its oen fuel pump
Ford F-250 With One Tank (side) 18 Gal US, w/ Dual Tank (Side & Rear) 18+13 = 31 Gal
Should be 19 gal for the front tank and 18.2 gal for the rear tank.
1988 Ford F250 front tank is 19 gallons and rear is 18.2.
Most trucks with dual tanks only have fuel sensors in one tank. I disagree with that as both of them have a float in them. It is possible there is corrosion to the float gauge on fuel pump. You can either replace fuel pump and gauge in tank or take old one out of fuel tank and clean up the crude in it.. I just did this to mine and it works now.. either way you have to drop tank or take off bed which I found was easier.
If it has the dual tanks primary tank is 19 gallons and auxiliary is 18.2 gallons
According to the 1996 Ford F-150 owners manual : ( the rear tank is 18.2 U.S. gallons )
It's part of the heater controls, on the right hand side
The fuel tank switch is on the right side of your heat switches, it goes up and down to select the tank you want main or aux.
The dual tank system has a low pressure fuel pump in each tank which pumps fuel to the high pressure pump outside. If the pump or strainer in one tank is plugged that will cause this problem.
