Pollution can effect animals by many ways, for example trash. when you throw trash outside they can get to it, it could be toxic and they could die.

Also for example the Canadian seal gets lower population and that's because the stuff that people put in the water causes the water to get poisoned which causes many animals to die and if all those animals die then there will be not much food to eat and people will decrease the population too.

Lead and cadmium can get into the water and be absorbed by tiny creatures. Those tiny creatures are consumed by your dinner. Eating certain seafood can cause serious health issues like hepatitis for humans.

Water pollution affects wild animals. Those living in the water and strays. The animals in the water inhale, drink, and live in the water, so if it is polluted in any way, such as garbage being thrown into it by careless people or gas pollution, they will die. This is unfair treatment to the marine creatures.

It can affect their breathing potentially killing a number of creatures, while stronger creatures may be able to survive the pollution they will also be effected as their food source may be killed off causing starvation. Creatures on land can also be affected if they feed mostly on those creatures.

Water pollution can cause chemical poisoning, abrading marine creatures' scales or skin. It can affect their fertility and ability therefore to reproduce. It can also poison smaller, more vulnerable sea creatures which form the main food source of larger animals, causing a chain reaction that affects all forms of marine life. Water pollution often affects sea grasses, killing off feeding fields for animals such as the dugong.

Another major problem with water pollution involves actual litter. It is common knowledge that turtles and other creatures mistake plastic bags for jellyfish; when they try to ingest them, the creatures suffocate.

Yes, it does, reason # 1. animals won't have clean water to drink and either die of thirst or get poisoned from bad water. that's the only reason i have.
