It depends on the type of plane. Small, one-engine propeller planes (reciprocating engines) fly at speeds of 80 to 200 mph (130 to 320 km/hr). Jet airliners at cruising altitude average around 500 to 600 mph (800 to 960 km/hr). Military turboprops cruise at 350 mph (560 km/hr) and jet fighters routine exceed the speed of sound (768 mph or 1235 km/hr at sea level). Because of their lower weight compared to engine power, some private jets travel faster than large passenger jet planes.
500 to 700mph
It depends on the airplane. A Piper Archer will do about 135mph, a King Air will do around 300, an airliner like a 757 will go about 600, jet fighters will go about 1200 for real short distances and an SR-71 will go about 1800.
The SR-71 broke the record at Mach 3.2
Aircraft fly at many different speeds, depending on their use and construction.
The first aircraft flown by Wilbur and Orville Wright traveled just 7 mph (11 kph). The speed of flight for modern planes can vary from less than 60 mph (96 kph) to more than 2000 mph, and manned rocket aircraft have reached 4500 mph.
Ultralight aircraft, which in some cases are merely powered hang-gliders, can cruise at less than 35 mph. A Cessna or Piper private plane flies at between 80 and 140 mph. Your average Boeing 737-300 passenger airliner will travel at around 500 mph when at cruising altitude. Many military jets can fly at supersonic speeds between Mach 1 and Mach 2 (750-1500 mph), but heavier bombers such as the B-52 and B-2 are subsonic aircraft.
it ranges the piper Cherokee (the slowest aircraft I could think of) flies at about 200 km/h and the fastest COMMERCIAL airliner (the concord) could reachmach 2.23=2 731.84812 km/h and then the fastest human controlled aircraft ever was the sr-71 blackbird at 3,530+ km/h or mach 3.2sorry about all the different fonts and sizes I used about 4 different websites to find all this information

There is a whole variety of airplanes, but if you are talking about Jet Airliners, the average speed is about 80% of the speed of sound, in the aviation industry this is called Mach .8. The actual speed the differs from type to type, if you look at the Boeing 747, the maximum speed is mach .85, the Boeing 737 Classic on the other hand has a max of around mach .74. The speed that a mach number relates to differs with altitude, temperature and air density. But in general terms, if a plane flies Mach .8 at 37000 feet, the speed is around 850 km/h, 520 m/h or 450 knots.
Hope it helps.
Obviously it varies depending on the plane, weather, payload, etc.
Typically a light aircraft will do 150-350 mph
A jet 500-700 mph
And a military aircraft up to 2,000mph
Concorde used to do up to 1,555mph

AnswerYou can go to the other states or country fast.
Less than 200 mph.
fast...
Airplanes are made for fast transposrt of passengers or cargo. They are also used for defence purposes.
Most commercial airplanes go about 600 miles per hour. There are planes that can travel faster with the fastest going about 2000 miles per hour.
Normal airplanes travel around 550 miles per hour, or around 240 meters per second.
Airplanes usually taxi at a fast-walking pace 3 to 5 mph.
they were slow not as fast as todayswell they were slow airplanes
Cruising speed: 528km\h for 1900D
Most cruise at around 500 MPH.
The speed of paper airplanes vary by models.
