Since their bodies are long, low, and not built for speed, as well as having short legs, leopard geckoes don't go very fast. However, my gecko can produce short bursts of speed when hunting or startled, about as fast as a trotting horse, for about a foot.

Gold dust day geckos are an extremely small species of gecko from the phesulma sub family. These day gecko species are active during the days and have to be weary of many day time predators from birds - mammals. With this species only reaching 3-6" as adults they are capable of reaching speeds up to 15-20 km.
