i don't think you need to remove the enigine.....i also own a 2003 galant and i had mine done at a dealership......costed around $700 and i got it back in a couple of days.....results and prices may vary...
Unbolt it.
Safely jack the car up, remove lamps,replace bulbs.
The wiper motor is located on right rear of engine, hood up. Remove old wiper and replace before tightening the bolts test their location to mount.
It is located behind the glove box. Remove the glove box completely and it is attached with two screws. Hope this helps
Remove negative polar of battery and replace after a couple of minutes. FYI your car will ride rough for about a half hour while the computer re learns itself (reset)
Expansion valve is located on the A/C Evaporator Core. Most of the times you have to remove the whole dash to reach it/ replace it. Good luck.
if yr talking of a v 6 then remove the engine cover,turbo hoses if you have them and upper anti sway bar and then loosen the plenum , 7 bolts if memory serves,you can remove it completely but if its loosened off there is just enough room to remove the rear plugs and leads

You need to remove the transmision oil pan, it is held on by aproximtly 12 screw. You have to replace the filter, use a new gasket and reinstal the oil pan.
Remove air box, pulley is located just under attached to engine block. Should remove bolts take off belt, and replace pulley and belt.
use the remove timing belt instructions and it includes the water pump,"if your in there do them all !"
