ImmigrationI think that is just a matter of opinion, i think that it has, imigration has made America more open and we are not all the same, this helps us have different opinions and veiws on things.

In the past America's population was increasing rapidly. This had helped it in many ways... such as having a great economy in which people worked in although this also had its side effects (some of the foreign workers were unskilled so they had to make unskilled labor.) And so most of the immigrants also brought new knowledge to America, and most of them had similar cultures and traditions to the Americans so they were able to blend in easily and rise with America. Also in the past the migrants came from developed countries in Europe and so on, so it did benefit America's economy.

If you mean after the Civil War to the early 1900's when America was becoming a world power, immigrants helped to provide large factories with a large workforce which helped the overall economy to expand.
