In many ways than I can say;
- Britain and Germany invented the jet engines that propel modern planes
- Germany developed rocket engines and their leading scientists went on to build the actual rockets that took man to the moon
- Britain invented the first programmable computer to beat Hitler's personal 'secret writer' code. Colossus as this computer was called is the the ancestor of all of today's computers
- Nuclear weapons arrived
- Germany built the worlds first stealth fighter which was visited by the company which built the modern stealth bombers
- Radar was only developed because of the fear of bombing raids
- Guided missiles, cruise missiles homing torpedos all came from the war
- Britain and Germany played around with infer red as well which now has many applications
