It really depends upon your gaming style and the type of games you will be playing. If you're a hardcore gamer who likes to play games like COD, NFS, or anything similar, a 4GB RAM is good enough to have a lag-free gaming experience.
Cheers.
Most people upgrade their processor, ram, video, and sound cards for gaming.
For a gaming computer you will need at least 4GB of RAM. Most people average 6GB for their gaming computers.
For high-end gaming you would need a fast processor (CPU) fast and a lot of RAM and a fast video card that includes a lot of built-on RAM.
It can be for gaming, if you buy the right computer with enough ram and a good prossessor but not all pc are for gaming such as most laptops but they do make some gaming laptops......:)
high speed of RAM and processor can better support to laptop gaming.
A heat spreader is used to help draw heat from your ram. The average computer user does not need a heat spreader, but someone that has a powerful gaming computer may benefit from using it.
really high graphics card and a really fast processor lets not forget a SH*T ton of RAM. lol.
Assuming you're talking about computer memory and not Dance Dance Revolution, the 2 simply means the generation of RAM. There is also ddr1 ram and ddr3 ram, with ddr1 rarely used and ddr3 used only in high-end computers. More important than the type of RAM is the amount of it. That said, if you own a high end gaming computer and are into upgrades, have someone check compatibility with ddr3 ram.
4gb ram, dual core processor, and a solid video card should keep you gaming for a while
It all depends. My computer has 8 GB of Ram with a 1 GB graphics card. This suffices for all the games I play. There are systems out there that are almost server-like and have 24 GB of ram and 4 GB of graphics. Those systems can do anything.
SRAM retains its contents as long as the power is connected
A good amount of RAM could be any amount of RAM depending on what the user thinks is a good amount, depending on what they use their computer for. The normal RAM size that is used for a computer is 1 GB which is used to run basic applications on a computer. 2GB-4Gb is the normal size for a computer if you are planning on doing any gaming. In my opinion a good amount of RAM would be about 4 GB of RAM, because with that amount of RAM you can run every program on your computer very efficiently. Anymore more than that will not help you much, unless you do a lot of gaming.
