What Jesus said in John 14:28 was "God is greater than I." this was a recognition of His placement in the Trinity. Look at Philipians 2:5-7
"Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men."
These verses tell us that He was God.
Now look at John 10:29-31 "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one. The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him." The Jews were going to stone Him because of blasphemy. Blasphemy was equating oneself with God. It is what they ultimately crucified Him for.

This verse is found in 2 Corinthians ch.1:20 : -"For all the promises of God in Him (Jesus) are Yes and in Him (Jesus) Amen, to the glory of God through us.

Not only did he believe in the resurection, he saw and spoke with Jesus shortly after. He recorded this in his epistle to the church at Corinth(Corinthians 14)
At the Last Supper, Jesus explained that He was the fulfillment of the Passover meal given by God through Moses 2,000 years before (1 Corinthians 5:7). Jesus let His disciples know that the bread of the meal was symbolic of His body and that the wine was symbolic of His blood. He said that eating the bread and drinking the wine were to be means by which to remember Him and what He would accomplish at the cross (Matthew 26:17-29; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:19-20; First Corinthians 11:23-26).
Jesus, as our Passover (see 1 Corinthians 5:7). The Feast Day was given to the Israelites as a memorial pointing to Jesus as animal blood cannot forgive sins but the shed blood of Jesus can and does.
