I have that also, you can't get rid of it because it's inherited but if your use coconut oil it smooths your legs and makes it feel smoother.

I have that and there is no cure. warm baths and lotion helps make it not as noticeable but unfortunately it will always be there. Its fun to scare people with though.

Ok, so I have KP and I don't like it obvious. I'm a 13 year old girl and its so hard to be a girly-girl when you have all this stuff on you. Its on the upper parts of my arms and I cant wear short sleeve shirts or cute tank tops. I think I will try the coconut oil stuff but I was wondering when you wear short sleeve shirts, do people usually notice it on you or not? I am 14 and have KP and I wear short sleeve shirts and tank tops all of the time! Not very many people notice it and I have it all over my arms and legs. When people do notice it they ask what it is and I just say I have a skin disease but its not contagious and the person just says oh and doesn't think anything of it. I know what you mean though. It is very annoying.

I am 13 also and I HATE my KP Even on little 5 year old kid asked me once why I had a red rash on my arms. It is awful. BUT... I have been daily moisturizing with Hemp lotion and coconut oil for about a week now and guess what??? The redness and bumps are starting to fade in a lot of areas! If it keeps improving like this, maybe I can wear those camis I bought forever ago! I'm a little of a tomboy, but that makes no difference, every girl wants smooth, beautiful arms! Grrr, Jennifer Richards makes me mad. On Living withKP.com she talks about this wonderful break-through she's had about studying KP and how to get rid of it. "It can be all yours for only $47!"Yeah right. Most 13 year-olds don't have twenty in their pocket! If she really cared about all our poor selves she would let us in on a little more. Anyway, even if it may not work for you, Hemp Lotion (find it at most frug stores) and coconut oil (found at most drug stores and grocery stores) can't hurt you, and it is definitely worth a shot!

I use Ammonium Lactate lotion. I use it two times a day every day in the morning, and at night. It soothes your bumps to where they are not real rough. If you go to the doctor for to see how you can treat Keratosis Pilaris you can ask them about using Ammonium Lactate. It soothes my skin so good that I can barely see the bumps, and the redness!

Repcillin is a range of products made specifically to treat conditions such as keratosis. They are currently offering free samples of the product on their website, and have received many positive reviews from customers who have keratosis which can be seen on their home page. I highly recommend for you try a free sample.

Simply lather the balm onto the area where you have keratosis two or three times a day, and you should notice that the keratosis will begin to calm.

If you have this condition like I do it really helps to exfoliate the area when showering and keeping it moisturized. You should also watch your sugar intake and drink 8 glasses of water a day. Keratosis Pilaris is common in teens and tends to disappear with age. Unfortunately, it never fully disappears so you will always have some bumps on your arms.

I have Keratosis Pilaris too and it's so humiliating! I use Eucerin intensive repair very dry skin lotion. You can find it and any pharmacy and it doesn't get rid of it but you can see the difference by the next day.

You can get rid of Keratosis Pilaris if you use Baiden Mitten regularly. It should go away withing 3-5 uses and then all you have to do is to have an exfoliation session once every 1-2 weeks to keep it under control

Well, the bad news is you can never get rid of Keratosis Pilaris. I also have it, and i treat it using a dandruff shampoo. Dandruff Shampoo's are used for helping dead skin (Dandruff) flake off faster. Keratosis Pilaris is a condition where your skin clogs up your pores and doesn't shed like it should. So by using dandruff on your arms, or wherever your Keratosis Pilaris is, it should help the skin shed like it should! While you are using dandruff shampoo for your KP, make sure you moisturize wherever you are using the dandruff shampoo, or your skin will dry out and it will show! Try to use lotion 2-3 times a day.

*BEWARE: If you stop treating keratosis pilaris, it WILL come back! :(
