Mono is spread through saliva, with an incubation period of 4 to 7 weeks, giving it the nickname the 'Kissing Disease'.
Mono can be transmitted by all bodily fluids except for urine.
By kissing or sharing drinks
It is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus. It can be transmitted through direct or indirect exchange of saliva, hence the nickname "kissing disease."

Hello fellow user! The mono virus, or the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) definitely has a lipid bilayer envelope. Since it is a member of the herpes virus family, all of them have a membrane layer or envelope. The fun thing about mono is that it is called the 'kissing disease' because it is transmitted by kissing right on the mouth. It goes by another term called infectious mononucleosis. Have a good day! 😄
You cannot spread mono per se but you can spread the virus that causes it. And not everyone who is infected with the virus will develop disease, in fact the virus (EBV) is ubiquitous and most of the healthy population carries it. If someone had mono the symptoms usually resolves within 4 to 6 weeks but the virus will forever remain in his or her body. But as I have mentioned this is not a serious issue considering that the EBV is ubiquitous and almost everyone has it. It can be transmitted by direct oral contact: for someone who has already been exposed the virus it will cause no problems but for someone who has never had the virus before it may result in mono.
mono and h.i.v same
It is a virus similar to Mono. :)
Mononucleosis is a virus.
Infectious mononucleosis, often called "mono," refers to a group of symptoms usually caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). It typically occurs in teenagers, but you can get it at any age. The virus is spread through saliva, which is why some people call it the "kissing disease."
is a virus that can be spread from in the airInfluenza
Mono is mainly transmitted by saliva so sharing a drink with an infected person has risks. Organ transplant patents get Mono also. If the organ came from someone that had been infected at one time then the virus is in the organ and the person receiving it can succumb to it.
You cannot cure mono. Only your body can fight off the virus. The Epstein-Barr virus is a strain of the herpes virus, so it stays in your body for the rest of your life.
No. Mononucleosis (Mono) is a virus.
