As soon as you've met all the conditions for the reinstatement of your licence after the suspension period following your DUI conviction. However, if your DUI conviction occurred in the past three years, no company is even going to think about hiring you as a CDL driver. In all honesty, you should probably pursue a different career path if your DUI conviction occurred within the past five years, and at least keep alternative career choices in mind if it occurred between five and ten years in the past.
