A dogs normal heat cycle is around every 6 months. Some dogs will start a little longer or it could happen a little sooner. My female bleeds during each cycle. Their cycle does not change even if they have a litter. For example, If a dog comes into heat in January and gets pregnant and has a litter her next cycle would be in June. After giving birth it is not unusual for the new momma to bleed for a few weeks. This is due to her giving birth to the pups.
Dogs don't have menstrual cycles. That is to say, they don't bleed like human girls. But, the "heat" they go into is normally once a month. Of course, they are able to become pregnant again directly after whelping, so, watch out for that.

Actually, dogs DO bleed like humans. My English Coonhound is, right now. My gyp currently has 10-day-old puppies and came in heat today. Dogs also are not going to get pregnant unless they are bleeding. Typically, dogs will go into heat twice per year, although some may only have one heat cycle per year, and some may have more. As far as going into heat after whelping, it depends on the dog. Many factors can affect this, such as age, environment, health, etc.
NO!! Dogs DO NOT have menstruation cycles. ONLY HUMANS have menstruation cycles. They may bleed after giving birth, but that does NOT mean they're menstruating.
there maybe some discharge with the afterbirth but she should not bleed at all...CALL YOUR VET!! if you will ot do that call the humane society for advise on getting medical care for the dog,,,as soon as possible.
Dogs do not have "periods" as such. They do go into heat twice a year, and during that one- to two-week period, when they are receptive, there is some bleeding, but it is not a period as it is in humans.
It is better to wait atleast 6-8 months before she can have another litter. A 12 month gap would be even better. The greater the gap between her litters the healtheir the puppies would be. Puppies of dogs that have a litter once every 6 months have been known to be considerably weak when compared to dogs that have litters once every 12-15 months.
6 to 7months of age depending on her breed
as long as a girls period from 3 days to a week
weeks
kopingerdg
For five or six weeks
Two to five days if longer call your vet
Do you mean how old should a dog be before having puppies? If so, I generally recommend that they are at least 18 months. If you are asking how long should they be, there is no criteria, that I am aware of, for this. SYong, DVM

A female will bleed for four to seven days and usually twice a year.
The dog's gestation period is 64 days, so about two months after you remove the male you can expect puppies if the female got pregnant.
if im not mistaken it takes a female dog about 9 weeks to have puppies so about three months give or takeit takes about 8 to 9 weeks for a yorkie to have its puppies...i know this because i have a female yorkie who just had its own puppies!
yes because you had an accident
until the newborns are adults
Yes it would as long as it was already pregnant.
If it goes on for very long you should see your GYN to get some help with the problem.
