It's my understanding that you are able to work almost immediately. You must present the proper marriage documentation to the local authority and they will issue your residence and work permit together. The first permit(s) issued is/are for 2 years and after that time, if you are still married, another permit is issued for an extended period. I've been researching this same question a lot recently and all the information I've discovered has led me to believe that it's all pretty straightforward. Imagine that! Check out this site for further info. Look for "Frequently asked questions: Visa" http://www.Germany.info
For A+ kids like me the answer is........one month
Warten is wait in German.
it takes just as long as if you married her here you still hve to fill the papers and she has to wait in line for a visa or a green card it chould take up tp 25 years. That is how long the what is to get green card for the usa from mexico.
There are no restrictions when it comes to marrying again after a divorce. It would be legal if you wanted to get married the very next day after a divorce was finalized.
This assumes that you are a US citizen (otherwise you cant file a petition for your brother). Its about a 10 year wait, with the exceptions of the Philippines and Mexico where they average wait for a brother of a citizen (4th preference) is between 16-20 years.
As soon as your divorce is though you can get married to your bf. If you have to wait for your divorce, you should start learning a little German :-)
warte, means wait
You get a social security number as soon as you become a citizen, but you must file to get a card. There is no waiting time, you can get it as soon as you become a citizen.
Became the German citizen population are looking for a leader since they have just gotten out of a civil war to overthrow the communist government, so Hitler as a dictator was free to start the putsch.
choices: 1) Marry the person and have him/her file an I-130 then "upgrade" it when the person becomes a US citizen. 2) Wait until the person is a US citizen then s/he can file for the fiancee visa. Either way you're looking at a very long wait until you can come to the USA.
Probably a ten-year wait if at all.
The German translation of wait is:Warte! (informal, singular)Wartet! (informal, plural)Warten Sie! (formal)
