Hamsters teeth can grow to 1 to 2 inches long. That's why they sometimes gnaw on the bars of cages. If your hamster doesnt have bars on its cage, give it some wooden blocks to make it's teeth shorter.
my short haired hamster is about 4" when its not stretched out!=)
when she is stretched out she is about say 6"=)
hope this helps!
I think it's 1/2 cm. long......
no hamsters dont have baby teeth -bb
All hamsters have yellow teeth... It's normal:)
Please DO NOT attempt to clip a hamster's teeth yourself. A lot of people bring their hamster to the vet to have their teeth clipped and the majority of the time, the teeth do not need clipping. Hamsters have longer teeth than owners expect, because they are rodents. Even a vet would not attempt to clip the teeth if they do not need clipping, because each time they are clipped there is a risk of fracturing the teeth right down into the skull, which means the hamster will no longer eat because they are in great pain, and could lead to infection. It is likely that if you took your hamster to the vet to get their teeth checked, and they did not need clipping, the vet wouldn't charge you for their time. If your hamsters teeth are too long buy them something hard to bite from the pet shop example wood.
Hamsters do not have good eyesight they depend on their sense of smell. so hamsters having long whiskers help them know were they are going and what they are doing its like anoth pair of eyes for them.
Hamsters do not "shed". Sometimes, adult male long hair syrian (teddy bear) hamsters will lose sections of their "skirt" (the long hair tufts by their tail), but hamster do no shed annually.
all rodents have continually growing front teeth, because they have no roots
Yes, hamsters should have yellow teeth.
Yes, they share this trait with the rest of the rodent Order.
Hamsters do have yellow teeth it is normal. it is an extra layer of enamel. It makes the rats teeth stronger
yes they can and it shaves there little teeth if its too long ( i give my hamsters peanuts and the shells)
All hamsters have teeth that never stop growing, no matter what breed. Syrian (aka short-haired/ teddy bear) hamsters will use their teeth the least if you know what I mean. They hardly ever bite their owners, or others. Remember to buy chew toys and "teethers" so your hamsters teeth don't get too long! Thanks and happy hamster owning(;

Rabbits, hares, mice, hamsters, and other animals with growing front teeth nibble down on rocks and their food to keep their teeth from growing out too long.
A hamsters teeth don't get that big at all. They only get up to 2 inches from the gums up.
