However, just as Her Majesty the Queen does not vote in Her Majesty's oldest realm, the United Kingdom, the Governor General of Canada does not cast a vote so as to stay non-partisan.
The Prime Minister of Canada remains in office as long as they are able to control the majority of votes in the Parliament. As of 2007, a law was passed fixing election dates to every 4 years, but the Prime Minister need not change after the election.
The president is elected to five-year terms. The next scheduled presidential election is in 2011.

Before 2003 the limit was 3 terms. Since that time the term limit laws were repealed and their is currently no limit on time the governor of Utah can remain in office, providing of course that they are re-elected and/or don't retire from office.

The President of the Treasury Board serves at the pleasure of the prime minister. The President of the Treasury Board may be removed at any time by the Governor General (on the advice of the prime minister), and is removed whenever the prime minister resigns, dies or is dismissed.
