Having a Green card entitles a person the status of a permanent resident. This means that the green card holder can live and work in the US permanently. The permanent residency status is for the entire lifetime of that person. So this means that you can stay in the US foe your entire lifetime provided that you renew your green card periodically (once in 10 yrs)

∙ 12y agoThe green card which is got as a result of marriage to a green card holder is the conditional one and valid for 2 years. 90 days before it expires the Form I-485 should be used to adjust status from conditional status to permanent resident status and a permanent green card valid for 10 years is issued to the applicant. The green card which the alien gets through employer or a relative is valid for 10 years which has to be renewed.

past 10 years and I'm still here and I lost it I need to get my driver license my housing some kind of ID that I'm a permanent resident they need to just give me a call or a renewal holder so I can go get those things that I need to go get so I can move on with my life they came up with this and Mom and Dad are dead. Resident renew my green card give me a call I am a card holders that I belong in the United States
