Three to five is the number of days that it takes ladybug larvae to hatch from oval-shaped, small-sized, yellow-covered ladybug eggs. The eggs tend to be deposited on the undersides of leaves that are near to, or that host, plenty of such prioritized prey as aphids and mealybugs. The larvae will need about 400 aphids each to get through the first two to three weeks of life.
