My guess is a bout 500 years. sand builds up over time.
how lon g
forever
ten years to form a sand dune
specify sand dunes range it the time they were created
It has sand dunes called ergs. They consider it as Great"Seas".
They are called ventifacts.
Coastal sand dunes provide an excellent environment for the study of primary succession. The vegetated dunes within the system have developed on a substrate of unconsolidated sand. This sand has been picked up by the wind from the wide sandy foreshore at low tide and deposited at the top of the beach around any obstacle which interrupts the flow of the wind and reduces its energy - it may be tidal litter on the strand line or a plant.
A sand dune is when wind is blow over a rock or plant and becomes higher and higher Sand dunes are formed when sand is blown by the wind. The sand collects debris from the sea and they began to pile up. More sand piles up so the mound becomes a sand dune. Plants like Marram grass hold together sand dunes.
Sand Dunes erode over time usually, however, in the desert it is possible for sand from one dune to be blown off and form another dune. Over time that single dune could "migrate" in a way. Sand dunes on the beach however usually just erode over time, they do not usually move.

The first National Park, Sigatoka National Park opened in July, 1989. It has area of about 650 hectares. The dunes has a massive diversity of endemic and exotic (introduced) plant species. It is around 3 km away from the Sigatoka town. The sand in the dunes is deposited in the north west direction because of the South East trade winds blowing the sand inland. The dune has grassland, woodland, savannah vegetation which has many types of species. The area was formed by the fluvial processes while the sand goes under the eroding process either by wind (aeolian), water/ rainfall, humans. It is the largest archiological site in the Pacific and is being protected. The dunes is also protected from the invasive plants and these plants come from the rubbish dump nearby. The vegetation type in the dunes have been severely affected by the fire, cutting, grazing and clearing forests for wood. Ravinal Prakash. BAGCED in LL and GE in USP, SUVA.
Sand painting is used by the Navajo Indians as a ceremonial practice. The sand art is destroyed once the ceremony is completed.
Your question doesn't make sense to me . . . maybe you meant, "How does a loess (luss) deposit form?" Loess is a deposit of dusty silty dirt that has been blown into an area from a different location. It often deposits in the shape of sand dunes. The "Palouse Loess Deposit" around Pullman, WA and Moscow, ID is a great example of dune-shaped loess deposits.
The Osoyoos Desert in southern British Columbia.
snad that has been moved by wind.
