I know that it takes a very long time and some may think it isn't worth the time, money and hard work. But i can honestly say it takes up to 10 years or so.

hope this inspires you,Deidre Harper AnswerYou will have to complete a Bachelor degree--Biology, Bio-Chemistry or Bio-Physics would make the most sense. Then you will have to take the MCAT and score well to get into med school. So far your looking at 8 years. After med school you will be a doc but you have to do a residency this is 2-3 years and then you have to specialize in dermatology. So bet on about 12 years at least before the paychecks start rolling in.

A dermatologist assistant is actually a medical assistant that will need to graduate from an accredited training program that last one or two years. A dermatologist assistant must also pass an exam that is administered by the organization after they have graduated from the technical school program.

You need 4 years of college and then you need to apply to medical school and get accepted. Medical school is 4 years. Then you apply to a residency in Dermatology and after acceptance, there is an additional 4 years of specialty training in Dermatology. You then are eligible to become board certified in Dermatology
